Another day, another step closer to finding out who’ll be making it through to Stage 1 finals and who’ll be facing off against the challenger division teams in a fight to avoid relegation. As the season draws to a close, some teams have already guaranteed themselves a place in the relegation tournament, while OpTic Gaming have clinched first place overall following their 10 win streak.

Speaking of teams facing relegation, Dream Team’s underwhelming performance vs Rise Nation last night has secured their place in the losers tournament, winning little over 20% of their games this season. dT are playing purely for pride today. The same can’t be said for Luminosity Gaming, who find themselves in a precarious seventh place in the league. They’ll be looking to fight off competition from Team SoloMid, H2k-Gaming and Team Kaliber who all trail closely behind and will be looking to clinch a top 8 placement before the season ends next week. With so much to play for, Luminosity should come out hungry while Dream Team will just be looking to get Stage 1 over and done with. It’s certainly not expected this dT squad will be sticking together into Stage 2 and morale will be at an all time low.
It would be incredibly surprising if Dream Team were to pull out the win tonight and at 4/11, there may be a tidy profit to be made backing the favorites.

It’s a tough week to find some good value with hardly a close match to speak of. With that in mind, it’s probably a good time to look at OpTic Gaming. Riding out a 10 win streak is no mean feat. Better yet, the OpTic squad have also taken the vast majority of their victories in 3-0 fashion, only picking up 2 losses along the way. Things have only picked up for the green wall since Scump moved into the OpTic Scuf House, and it’s hard to see OG dropping this match. All things considered, 2/9 odds are fairly generous when taking into consideration OpTic’s fantastic performance all throughout Stage 1.
