We’re nearly there. Stage 1 is drawing to a close and there are just 2 matches left to decide who will be fighting it out in Stage 1 finals, and who will be facing relegation. There’s a lot to fight for at the bottom of the league, which should make for a great week of matches.
Rise Nation (1/6, Ladbrokes) vs Team Kaliber (7/2, Bet365)
It’s a tough week for Team Kaliber, who currently occupy the 10th spot in the league. They have 7 wins so far, and even a clean sweep this week may not be enough to see them into the top 8, depending upon Luminosity and TSM’s performances. What is for sure though is that Team Kaliber are fighting for every last map. This was obvious last week, as they swept eLevate aside with a comfortable 3-1 win. Rise Nation are certainly a step above eLevate, but only a small one. It’s certainly not a sure thing, but Team Kaliber could surprise us and pull out a win. Rise Nation won’t be worrying too much this week. Of course, they’re always fighting for seeding, but after a long season it probably won’t weigh on their minds too much if they drop the match.
Expect Team Kaliber to at least make some noise tonight, and possibly take the match if the cards fall in their favour.

Team eLevate (4/7, Bet365) vs CompLexity Gaming (5/4, Bet365)
It’s great to see more close matches in the World League this week. Next up we have eLevate and CoL, two mid table teams that have already secured their place in Stage 1 Finals. They may only be two places apart in the league table, but we think there is a much larger gap between these two teams than the table (or odds) show. Not only have eLevate won an extra 10% of their league matches, but they’ve also had significantly better recent performances. Yes, they did lose to tK, but eLevate also had a strong 4 game win streak prior to that. Looking at CoL, they’re currently riding out a 4 match losing streak to the likes of TSM and CLG.
With all of this in mind, we’ll probably be seeing eLevate come out strong and take a fairly easy win. CompLexity certainly have talent in their ranks, but they’ve also been known to fall apart when the going gets though.
