First Round Picks
Millenium (1/1, Skybet) vs Splyce (8/11, Skybet)
This is an easy one if you’ve been keeping up across the whole of Stage 2. Millenium and Splyce have been 2 of the best matched teams throughout the season, with top talent featuring in both squads. The real kicker here, however, is that Millenium’s top player (Swanny) will not be attending the event. The Brit will be staying at home, to be replaced at the last minute by America’s Mirx, former Call of Duty Champion under Fariko Impact. Those days are long behind Mirx however, and jumping into a squad at the last second is a huge task. We have to give this one to Splyce.
Team eLevate (1/10, Skybet) vs Plantronics Mindfreaks (11/2, Skybet)
This is another interesting match. ELevate have shown a great amount of potential, and hang with the best of the best in the North American division. However, Mindfreaks are the unrivaled number 1 squad in all of Australia and New Zealand. They have had respectable performances at CoD Championships before, and are here to win. With no disrespect to eLevate, we believe Mindfreaks are being rather overlooked with these odds. We’re going with Mindfreaks this time around.
We’ll keep you up to date across the weekend with all the top matchups, so stay tuned and enjoy the biggest event in Call of Duty history!
