European Call of Duty might be coming to a close over the next couple weeks, but we’ve still got more than 3 weeks of action to look forward to in North America. Today, we’ve got 2 matches to look forward to, featuring OpTic Gaming, Dream Team, 100 Thieves and Team eLevate. All of these teams have something to prove today, so let’s take a look at the odds.
OpTic Gaming (1/8, Skybet) vs Team eLevate (9/2, Bet365)
Well, this is a familiar match. Seems like just a few days since we last saw these teams facing off in the MLG Anaheim finals, and we all know that how that one ended. OpTic Gaming will be looking to repeat their performance from the weekend where they took the match 3-2 over Team eLevate. OpTic certainly have the previous results on their side, but there’s more to this match than that. OpTic Gaming are currently in a 2 match losing streak after forfeiting to CompLexity last night, which has certainly frustrated the green wall squad. OpTic are certainly talented but they are also known for struggling when things are shaken up a bit. This puts the squad just one map ahead of FaZe Clan, while also having a worse overall map record. With the pressure on, OpTic might being to feel the heat. eLevate certainly need to show up, but at 9/2 after putting in such a solid performance over the weekend, we’d say they’re worth the risk.
Recommended Bet: Team eLevate (9/2, Bet365)
100 Thieves (7/2, Skybet) vs Dream Team (1/6, Bet365)
What can we really say about 100 Thieves? With less success at MLG Anaheim than Drift0r’s “Pink Wall” novelty squad, it’s hard to take their chances in stage 2 particularly seriously, and that mentality is clearly also rubbing off on the team as well. With an 0-12 map count at the event, things are looking truly dire. Owner Matthew “Nadeshot” Hagg even posted an apology video for not taking the squad’s poor performances seriously in the past few days. Through last night’s CoD World League matches, we saw 100 Thieves lackluster attitude in their 3-0 loss to FaZe Clan, featuring ridiculous decisions such as an ELO protect as the last pick in the pick and ban phase. Dream Team also got 3-0’d last night, but have had some great performances recently, such as a 3-1 win over FaZe Clan last week. We wouldn’t say Dream Team are fantastic value, but we have to give them the nod in this match.
Recommended Bet: Dream Team (1/6, Bet365)
