We’re finally back with the latest stage of the Call of Duty Global Pro League. This week, it’s group yellow’s turn to fight for a place in the Call of Duty Championship, coming up on the 9th – 13th of August. Over the course of the next 3 days, EUnited, Splyce, Red Reserve and Rise Nation will all be facing off in multi-match pool play, with the top two teams landing an automatic spot at the biggest event of the year.
Every day, each team plays twice with a total of 12 games across the group. With that said, it’s time to jump into today’s matches and find the best odds out there!
Lucky for us, we’ve got two close matches to dive into today. First up, it’s the battle of the “lower” ranked teams. Rise Nation scraped a spot in this Stage, coming third in Group Blue last season. It’s continued to be an uphill struggle for the roster of Looney, Facento, Aqua, FelonY, placing 9th-12th at MLG Anaheim just weeks ago. Red Reserve have had nearly as rough a ride. Placing bottom of their group in Stage 1 of the GPL, Red Reserve re-qualified for Stage 2 via the relegation playoffs, going on to place 7th-8th at MLG Anaheim with the roster of Seany, Rated, Urban and Joe. This really is anybody’s match to win. While Rise Nation did manage to beat Splyce within group play at Anaheim, Red Reserve were also taking Luminosity to map 7. Given the odds, we have to say Red Reserve are the better value here.
Recommended Bet: Red Reserve (7/4, 2.75, Skybet)
Next up is a total change of pace. Two of the biggest names in Call of Duty. Frequent top 2 finisher Splyce vs the new and improved EUnited. Splyce’s record speaks for itself; 4th in Dallas; 2nd at Birmingham; 2nd at Anaheim and 1st in Stage 1 of the Global Pro League. This roster are hard to stop. On the other hand we have EUnited, who shocked the scene with a 1st place finish at Atlanta, and 2nd place finish in Dallas. The unpredictable nature of the roster was highlighted with a 5-6th place finish in Stage 1 of the GPL, and 9th-12th place finish at Anaheim playing alongside Swarley. Since then, Clayster has joined the ranks and will be keen to make an impression. We’re not convinced the team will have had the time to gel quite yet though, and we see Splyce taking the series in fairly quick fashion.
Recommended Bet: Splyce (4/7, 1.57, Bet365)
